Our latest in the series of Mutate Commanders that buck the trend of being a parasitic mechanic is Nethroi, Apex of Death. In this deck, Nethroi acts as a 7 mana reanimate everything in your graveyard spell because of our massive number of creatures (over 40) and the fact that most of them are 0/0s that enter the battlefield with +1/+1 counters on them. Of course, this means that Nethroi sees them in the yard as zero power and therefore can bring them all back at once without exceeding the 10 power rule it has printed on it.
This deck is perfect for someone looking to create a different angle on a +1/+1 synergy deck but also loves graveyard shenanigans (aka ME).
Nethroi, Apex of Death does have a pretty hefty mana cost and with so few other mutate creatures you'll almost always want to cast it from the Command Zone for it's Mutate cost, and due to the high number of non-human creatures in the deck, at least that shouldn't be a problem.
