- Cast Mind Rot targeting yourself, discarding the Driven // Despair and one of the other two discard spells.
- Cast Hollow One for 1, since its cost is reduced by 4 as a result of discarding two cards. Because it's colourless, Sky Scourer gets +1/+0.
- Cast Despair from your graveyard, giving all your creatures Menace.
- Attack with Sky Scourer, Hound of the Farbogs, and Hazoret the Fervent (since you now have only one card in hand). Because they all have Menace and your opponent only has two creatures, they can at best block one of the 5-power attackers, and take 7 for lethal.
